Handmade specially for Stitch by Stitch in rich Lac Red naturally-dyed wool by master handloom weavers in Kutch - a remote corner of Gujarat famed for its highly-skilled textile artisans. Because the wool is also spun by hand, it has a wonderful, irregular texture full of movement.  The hand-fringed border adds to the tactile quality of these beautifully made pieces.

Lac Red is a traditional, natural dye extracted from a scale insect native to Asia. It has been used as a dye for hundreds of years.
