Barton Donegal and Alpaca Wool Throw
Barton Donegal and Alpaca Wool Throw
Made in England
A soft and weighty wool and alpaca blanket which is woven in Donegal wool yarn, spun in Ireland, and blended with a little alpaca for added softness. The tweed effect yarns have little flecks of colour in them which gives them a lively texture. The history of Donegal tweed yarn goes back centuries to the cottage industry of southwest Ireland. The blanket is woven with a double-cloth construction, which makes it reversible, with a dark side and a lighter side for two looks!
A fringe runs all the way round the edges of the throw, which contrasts nicely with the large-scale chequered pattern, which is based on the design of our Makalu Radhi rug.
Woven exclusively to Stitch by Stitch’s design at The Bristol Weaving Mill, a small, experimental mill in urban southwest England.
